How has the week been treating you? Are you looking forward to the weekend?

I’m doing well, though I’m still kind of tired. The weather has been kind of gloomy, which I’ve been enjoying.

Today’s post is my weekly round up of new comic releases that I picked up yesterday from my local comic book store.

Single Issues

Absolute Flash. Issue #13. Cover A.

Wally is being plagued by nightmares after the los of his father. He’s found his way back to the Dibny Youth Mission – where everyone seems to want to know about his powers.

He opens up to Linda about his past, and everything that has been going on.

Together they return to Fort Fox to look for clues about Wally’s Dad – what will they find, and what does the Mirror Master have planned for them?

Nightwing. Issue #136. Cover A.

The Crossroads story line starts here.

Bludhaven is still reeling in the aftermath of the Cirque du Sin incident.

The new Mayor is using the opportunity to make changes, and Dick isn’t sure that he likes what he sees.

On the Superhighway one night, he finds himself in a car with a strange woman, asking to be taken to the Crossroads, and speaking of witches.

An unusual conversation ensues, followed quickly by a tragedy that shakes Nightwing to his core. Can he put the pieces of this mystery together before more people meet an unfortunate end?

Titans. Issue #33. Cover A.

Do you ever feel like you’re just reliving the same events on repeat?

The coffee machine in Titans Tower has started talking to Nighwing, telling him that he’s in danger. Can he listen to the static interference coming from a household appliance?

The Titans aref trapped in an endless loop, facing the same enemies and betrayals. Can the New Titans save them from this unending nightmare?

Can Nightwing put down the coffee?

Vintage Nerdy Finds: Sailor Moon Audio Cassette.

I hope that this post finds you well.

How was your weekend? Did you get upto anything fun? How’s the weather looking for the week?

It’s a rainy day where I am, and I am loving it.

In today’s post, I am going to be sharing a recent vintage nerdy find that I came across on eBay!

Let’s get right into it – shall we?

Recently, I’ve been re-visiting some of the nostalgic favourites from my childhood. One of those being Sailor Moon. Now, I grew up with the DiC/Cloverway English Dub of Sailor Moon that used to play on satellite TV.

If you’re familiar with those dubs, then you will know that they had original songs created for them, instead of using the Japanese songs like more recent dubs do.

Well, what I didn’t know, was that those songs were actually released on physical albums, so as soon as I found out, I went looking.

And I found one on eBay!

This is the audio cassette version, though I do believe that they also released it as a CD.

Luckily for me, I’m already a collector of audio cassettes, so I have a cassette player (a cute Beagle Scouts one from Retrospekt) that I can listen to this with.

I will admit that I got this album for “My Only Love” and “She’s Got The Power”, and I wish that it had “The Power Of Love” on it – but it’s OK that it doesn’t.

All in all, I’m really happy to have this in my nerdy collection. Did you ever watch this Sailor Moon dub? If so, do you remember any of these somgs?

Today’s post is my weekly roundup of new comic releases that I picked up yesterday from my local comic book shop.

Single Issues

Absolute Flash. Issue #12. Cover A.

Wally has stopped running away from his fears, instead choosing to face them head on.

Two will be reunited with their captive fathers, but only one will get to keep them.

Will Fort Fox survive? What will be lost in this Clash of the Flashes? Where will everyone be left when the dust settles?

Absolute Superman. Issue #17. Cover A.

Grotesque parasites have taken over Metropolis! Every person trapped inside seemingly faces an eternal nightmare – trapped in fear in order to feed the creature.

Can Superman give the people of the city the hope, and courage, they need to overcome? Is he beginning to embrace the name that the world has chosen for him?

Was this all just a distraction from other forces at work?

What does Brainiac want with Lex Luthor?

Batman. Issue #7. Cover A.

The Joker is back, and he wants to speak with the Batman.

What is the Crown Prince of Crime planning? Does he just want to talk? What will Batman do with the information, the warning, that he has been given?

Batman/Static Beyond. Issue #4. Cover A.

Shutdown has attacked the heroes of Dakota.

His motives become clearer as he seeks to take out Static Shock permanently. Is all of this the tantrum of a neglected child?

Meanwhile, Terry is left to deal with the ramifications of a global blackout on Neo-Gotham. He gets help from the shadows.

Just as it seems the group is coming up with a plan, Cadmus shows up to arrest Static!

DC KO. Issue #5. Cover A.

Thius is it. The Omega Tournament is over, and the victor is… Lex Luthor!?

Maybe, but then again, maybe not. A sacrifice by an old enemy brings Superman back into the game at a crucial moment. Can he defeat Darkseid?

Will the universe be reborn in Superman’s image?

This ending didn’t really surprise me if I’m honest, but I look forward to seeing how it affects the DC Multiverse going forward.

The Nice House by the Sea. Issue #8. Cover A.

Graphic Novels

Nightwing: Leaping into the Light. DC Compact Edition.

Another addition to my DC Compact library. I’m really excited to have this in a format that I can easily carry with me on the go.

I hope that more of this series gets the Compact edition treatment.

I am doing quite well today. I started playing around with my exercise routine, and I’m having fun with it.

Single Issues

Detective Comics. Issue #1106. Cover A.

The entire city of Gotham has been infected with the courage virus, and the results are going to be devastating. The citizens, in their anger, are going after the GCPD, and the police are ready to respond with deadly force.

The situation brings Batman back to his roots – using Fear as a tool, ad as his ultimate weapon. Will he be able to act before the powder keg explodes?

Justice League Unlimited. Issue #16. Cover A.

Mr. Terrific’s plan to offer himself to Neron has failed, and the rest of the Justice League has their hands full trying to fight off both the villains released from the Phantom Zone, as well as completing the evacuation of Earth. Are they out of time?

Owlwoman has betrayed them, to save herself, but can the courage of her fellow heroes convince her to do the right thing? Can Mr. Terrific be saved from the Abyss?

Return to Sleepy Hollow. Issue #4. Cover A.

The mystery is beginning to unravel as Lotte discovers a set of graves, lost to time, and consumed by the forest.

What secrets will be revealed when the bodies inside these coffins are disturbed from their rest? How far back does the darkness go into the past of Sleepy Hollow?

Will Ichabod be able to help Lotte face the evil when Katrina is taken away as a suspect of the murders?

Katsucon Find: Superman & Batman Plush Keychains by NobleDemons

Good Morning Nerdy Birdies!

I hope that this post finds you well.

In today’s post, I am going to be sharing something cute that I found while I was perusing the Katsucon Artist Alley a couple of weeks ago.

Say hello to these adorable Superman/Clark Kent and Batman/Bruce Wayne plush keychains.

They were created by an artist who goes by NobleDemons, and you can find their website here!

Before I get into the pictures, I want to share some details about these two!

They are both 10cm tall.
Both come with removable capes.
Both have embroidered details.
Ears and tails are non-removable.
Batman comes with a removable mask (you’ll see this in the photos.)
Both are made from soft minky fabrics.

Just like my Jason Todd plush keychain – these guys are the perfect size to clip to your favourite bag and take with you on any adventures you may go on – even just a trip to the shops!

Let’s get into some photos – shall we?

We’ll start with Superman!

My favourite details on Superman is his little forelock of hair, and that one of his ears is folded down.

The ribbon bow is attached to his body, and not to his cape.

You can see the keychain style here!

Now let’s take a look at Batman!

I really love the chibified bat design on the front of his suit.

Bruce has a shorter, cat-like tail compared to Clark.

And finally, here is Batman wearing his mask!

The mask closes with a strip of velcro, and his ears get folded underneath it.

I believe that both of their designs are based upon the 2025 Superman movie and The Batman with Robert Pattinson. Both of which I absolutely adore!

I’m still recovering from the convention that I went to last weekend, it really wore me out! I do love to relax with some new comics.

With that being said, today’s post is my weekly round up of new comic releases that I picked up from my local comic book shop this week.

Single Issues

Absolute Batman. Issue #17. Cover A.

Absolute Poison Ivy has appeared and she is just as horrifying as everything that has come before her. It’s time for the Seventh Kingdom story to begin.

We get some of Ivy’s early life and background as Batman makes his way inside the Heart of Gotham, a building transformed into a garden of terrors by Ivy’s will.

But there are also other secrets, other truths lurking in the shadows of Bruce’s life – what will he do when they step into the light.

Nightwing. Issue #135. Cover A.

The Cirque du Sin arc is over, and Bludhaven will never be the same.

Can Nightwing save the children of the city from the monster that has haunted their dreams? Will he remain stuck in the realm of the Zanni forever? Will another hero make the ultimate sacrifice to allow everyone to escape.

The Circus is gone, but Bludhaven remains. How will the city move forward from the devastation, and how will Nightwing?

Titans. Issue #32. Cover A.

The Titans face threats on multiple fronts – Gemworld and the surface of the Earth.

Raven has a plan to handle Terra – a compassionate approach. Will her hope betray her? Will Terra be able to break the cycle of pain that has trapped her for so long?

Donna Troy and Arsenal finish their face off against Grail, and find themselves getting help from an unlikely source. Roy is never going to hear the end of it.

Raven is able to use her powers to bring the Titans together, but will it be for the last time?

In today’s post – I am going to introduce the latest addition to my Jason Todd/Red Hood plush collection!

Isn’t he adorable?

I pre-ordered this fellow on 24/9/25 or 9/24/25. I pre-ordered him directly from the artists shop.

Here are some details that you might be interested in:

He is 10cm tall, and made from both soft minky, and felt fabrics.
His mask and jacket are removable.
His face is embroidered (photos coming shortly.)
He has a sturdy red keyring and large lobster clasp.

He is absolutely perfect for attaching to an itabag, or carrying around in your pocket.

They did also do the other boys; Nightwing, Red Robin, and Robin.

I am doing very well at the moment – I am looking forward to my first convention of the year coming up next week. I’ll get to see some dear friends, so I am quite excited.

Today’s post is my weekly round-up of new comic books releases that I picked up from my local shop on the day of release.

Single Issues

Absolute Superman. Issue #16. Cover A.

It’s Superman vs Hawkman as the winged avenger tries to teach the “rookie” a thing or two.

Will Clark listen to the veteran warrior? Or is he too distracted by the screaming?

I don’t really care for the art style in this issue. I’m also not a huge fan of Absolute Hawkman’s character, not when he’s being such a hypocrite.

We’ll see how things play out though.

Batman. Issue #6. Cover A.

It’s been a long night for Batman – between Damian revealing his familial connection to Robin, fighting Hugo Strange’ monster men, whatever is going on with the mob, as well as doing everything else he can to keep the streets of Gotham safe.

When Tim comes to him with a important announcement – one that will shake the family to it’s core – how will Bruce take it?

Will Damian ever be able to forgive his brother for abandoning the Robin mantle?

Batman/Static Beyond. Issue #3. Cover A.

The heroes attempt to re-group in the wake of Shutdown’s attack.

Everybody’s powers are on the fritz and no-one knows how to fix it – even a shocking plan from Terry doesn’t get Virgil back to his full strength.

When Shutdown sets his sights on Dakota City – will the heroes be able to come together to stop him?

KnightFight. Issue #4. Cover A.

The final issue of KnightFight is here, and Bruce’s game with the Heart of Apokolips is over.

Bruce has experienced something that he never thought he would – peace. A peace brought about by his own son. Will he fight to make this future a reality?

What is the Heart of Apokolips trying to teach him? What is the point of this little game?

This was such a good run – I really enjoyed it.

It seems as though everything that can go wrong for the Titans, is going wrong.

On Earth, Donna Troy and Arsenal take on Grail, Darkseid’s daughter.

The fight for Gemworld also continues as Nightwing does his best to hold off Jinx while Raven releases Terra to seek out her help. Will Terra end up helping her former teammates – or is she only looking out for herself?

We’re down to the Final 8 in the Apokolips Tournament, and each combatant now has to choose someone to tag-team with. Not from the other participants, but from those who have fallen.

Who will be chosen – and who will the final 4 be?

Will they be ready to face the Absolutes on what remains of the shattered Earth?
